Andy Warhol is coming to Bexhill...24th September sees the start of the new exhibition at De La Warr Pavilion - last few days of Catherine Yass. Sharon Haward facilitates a workshop on 26th using photography, drawing, illustration, painting and 3d construction to explore key themes in his work. The Catherine Yass show ends tomorrow if you haven't yet caught Lighthouse - film, photographs, lightboxes. Alex Brattell has been running workshops and interpretation sessions for visitors to the gallery.
Val Williams' publication with Photoworks is now available to pre order - 'Daniel Meadows: edited photographs from the 70's and 80's'. Meadows spearheaded the independent photography movement in the 1970's "In 1973, photographer Daniel Meadows went on an extraordinary journey, photographing the English as he travelled the country in a double-decker bus. Imagine a young, long-haired hippy with a penchant for Bob Dylan, a sense of adventure and a passion for photography, giving away photographs from his converted double-decker studio."
