Venice Biennale is nearly upon us and the 54th International Art Exhibition looks set to be well represented in lens based media. A selection of artists include: Giorgio Andreotta Calo, Monica Bonvicini, SONG Dong, Shannon Ebner, Omer Fast, Ryan Gander, Christian Marclay, Fabian Marti, Cindy Sherman, Christopher Wool and Pipilotti Rist amonst many others.
A record number of 89 National Participations run parallel to the Exhibitions, in the historical Pavilions in the Giardini, in the Arsenale, as well as other locations around the city. Selected pavilions include Albania, Andorra, Austria and Azerbaijan as well as Christian Boltanski representing France. Olafur Olafsson also represents Iceland and Dora Garcia represents Spain. Mike Nelson is to be found at the British Pavilion.
