Here's a bit of good news for us photographic film users!
From the Sat Telegraph, May 21st:
“Exposed: new camera fad
A decade after it was written off, traditional camera film is making a comeback as young consumers discover the joys of old-fashioned photography. Sales of 35mm film and rare 120mm film have increased substantially in the past year, with some independent camera shops saying they are processing far more traditional pictures than digital snaps. According to Harman Technology, the company which bought Ilford, a black and white photography supplier, after it collapsed, sales of film have increased by 8% over the past year, following years of decline.” Not just ‘young consumers’ ! Us older loyal film-users anticipated a swing-back anyway.
